Fonda Don Cuco

I heard about the pop up in Pomona being really good but haven’t tried. When I saw on their instagram that they had a brick and mortar closer to home, I HAD to stop by. When I arrived, we were one of the very few people in the restaurant so we were able to take our time and look through the menu and ask questions. Our waitress let us know they had a taco Tuesday special going on so we ordered tacos. The asada was so tender and juicy. The Al pastor was also very good. I really loved the real guacamole touch and charcoal char both meats had. I also had a dragonfruit agua fresca, made to order. I requested a sample of all their salsas. They can take my taco money every Tuesday. Absolute recommend!!!!

This place reminds me of a place in my town in Jalisco food is 5 stars, service its great , decor its eye catching my family enjoys coming here. Efi always ready to get us going with food suggestions she is great and I noticed she is popular even when busy she has a good character helping everyone. I will definitely recommend this restaurant.

Efy at Don Cucu is the best! She’s super friendly and always makes you feel at home. Her good vibes honestly make the food taste even better. The service she gives really takes the whole experience to another level. If you go, definitely hope Efy’s the one helping you out! I was really happy to see her during my last visit; speacially when i was told she was gone.

First time coming here, and I’m definitely coming back! Very nice atmosphere and great customer service. The food was tasty and affordable and the chips and salsa were so good. Me and my daughter enjoyed it.

I always have a great experience at Don Cucu, and a big reason is Efy. Her customer service is outstanding—she’s friendly, attentive, and always makes you feel welcome. The way she carries herself and her positive attitude really elevates the whole dining experience. Honestly, she makes the food taste even better because she serves it with such warmth and care.

My wife and I were craving tacos and my daughter wanted a quesadilla so we decided to come here. We were greeted immediately and the decor of the restaurant was very nice. The complimentary chips and salsa were great. I ordered five tacos and I would say the birria and chorizo were the best ones (my wife loved the birria the most as well). I was hoping the al pastor taco would be better as that’s usually my favorite taco. It wasn’t bad by any means. The carne asada taco was like every other carne asada taco I’ve had. The most disappointing one was the shredded chicken. It was recommended to us but I didn’t really care for it. Overall, still really good and I’d come back again. The tacos were big which is always a plus. My daughter loved her quesadilla. Only reason I stopped at 4 stars is they initially forgot our side of beans and rice and we had to ask multiple times for sauce before we got it - normally not a big deal but we were the only ones there at the time. By the time we got it, we were almost finished with our food.

Service was great and our food was fantastic. We had a big party show up without calling first and they had space to set us up quickly. Our waitress was kind and patient with our kids ordering and was very quick to fix our mixup at the table (totally our fault). Don't hesitate to come here for some good Mexico food and ice cold beer!
